Be a Mentor-
A mentor is a trusted guide, supporter, and positive role model who helps a young person grow personally, socially, and emotionally.
Core Responsibilities:
-Build Trust & Relationships - Create a safe, respectful, and encouraging space where youth feel heard and valued.
-Guide & Encourage - Help mentees set goals, make healthy choices, and see their own potential—even when they doubt it.
-Listen Without Judgment - Be someone they can talk to openly; offer advice when appropriate, but mostly listen.
-Model Positive Behavior- Demonstrate responsibility, respect, accountability, and healthy communication.
-Support Growth & Confidence -Encourage leadership, self-esteem, decision-making, and resilience.
-Provide Consistency - Show up reliably and follow through—consistency builds trust.
- Connect to Resources - When needed, help youth access additional support (education, activities, community resources).
