Who We Are..
Thompson’s C.A.N., Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving K–12 students from low-income households across Randolph County, High Point, and Guilford County, North Carolina. Our name reflects our mission: to Care, Assist, and Nurture youth by meeting both immediate needs and long-term developmental goals.
Founded by Sharona Thompson, Thompson’s C.A.N. grew from a deep commitment to community and a belief that when children are supported with compassion and consistency, they are better positioned to succeed in school and in life.

At Thompson’s C.A.N., Inc., our mission is to Care, Assist, and Nurture underserved youth by providing mentorship, educational support, and meaningful community programs that strengthen confidence, character, and opportunity.

We envision a future where every child has access to the support, encouragement, and resources they need to overcome challenges and become empowered, confident leaders within their communities.
